BACKGROUND

Since 1962, MDJS has been a key player in Morocco’s sports lottery landscape operating with a purpose of enhancing the development of sports in Morocco by dedicating all its profits to the National Fund for Sports Development (FNDS). MDJS has been instrumental in supporting sports federations, enabling top athletes to compete globally, and funding critical sports infrastructure.

CHALLENGE

Although women’s participation in sports has grown, stereotypes persist, particularly in sports historically dominated by men. MDJS sought to address these outdated views and create a campaign that would ignite empowerment and show that women have a place in every sport.

INSIGHT

Sports are not only about physical well-being but also about social empowerment and the promotion of key values like respect, inclusion, and teamwork. Gender equality in sports is a powerful force for societal change, and sports should reflect the diversity and inclusivity of our times.

Solution

In celebration of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace on April 6th, MDJS launched the “3andi Blasti” campaign (“I Have My Place”), putting the spotlight on 15 Moroccan women athletes from various sports disciplines. A campaign that reflects the changing landscape for women in sports, affirming that they always had their place in it and that it’s time for everyone to recognize it.

RESULTS

The campaign sparked widespread social conversations, fostering pride and a sense of inclusion. MDJS played a pivotal role in promoting gender equality through sports, making “3andi Blasti” an empowering movement for Moroccan women.
